Summary

Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Freelance Java Backend Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing both internal and external Java-based APIs, automating processes with Spring Boot, and ensuring high code quality through comprehensive testing, logging, and documentation. You will play a key role in designing and developing complex applications, crafting your own solution strategies, and creating services using Docker within an agile development environment. CI/CD processes will be managed with GitLab.

Your tasks

● Design, develop, and maintain Java-based APIs for both internal and external use.
● Automate processes using Spring Boot to enhance efficiency and scalability.
● Ensure code quality through rigorous testing, effective logging, and detailed documentation.
● Develop complex applications and devise effective solution strategies.
● Create and manage services with Docker in an agile development environment.
● Oversee CI/CD processes using GitLab.

Qualifications:

● Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or an equivalent qualification.
● Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in Java with a strong emphasis on clean code principles. Several years of professional experience with Java frameworks such as Spring Boot. Familiarity with Git and development tools.
● Skills and Attributes: Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong commitment to quality and a collaborative spirit. Experience with unit testing and code reviews.
