This is a fantastic opportunity to own a piece of English history. The large Nelson blazer buttons in this collection have been made from a mould taken directly from the lower, outside of the tunic which the great Admiral Horatio Viscount Nelson was wearing when he was mortally wounded during the Battle of Trafalgar on 21st October 1805. The buttons have some signs of tarnishing as shown in the photograph and I believe can be cleaned with a specialised cleaner. The authenticity of the set is attested by the National Maritime Museum's hallmark at the back of the buttons. The collection comes in a solid teak box which is in very good condition except for a tiny indent on the top left corner.
