Testing Lead Workday (m/f/d) bei BayWa r.e. AG

BayWa r.e. is undertaking a major digital transformation program, including the implementation and support of Workday Finance and Procurement across its many global entities.

● You will oversee and coordinate the testing activities for the rollout of Workday across Germany and further countries in the next years
● You will be able to work closely with a collaborative international team of in-house Workday functional experts and support team, building experience across almost all Workday modules
● You will be empowered to design a standardized testing methodology to drive project execution efficiencies, ensure a high quality solution, and reduce support issues post go-live
● What you will do
● Prepare and coordinate all testing activities across multiple entities throughout the course of the implementation (Gathering the testing requirements, developing clear test cases, assigning and maintaining the prioritization and dependencies of test cases, and guiding testers throughout the relevant test cycles)
● Collaborate with the Workday Functional Experts and Support team to identify standard test cases and their setup, developing a strong and replicable testing methodology
● Collaborate with the business stakeholders to identify and create test cases specific to local statutory or business requirements
● Build up knowledge across all Purchase to Pay (P2P), Order to Cash (O2C), and Record to Report (R2R) processes across all business segments (ie Projects, Asset Operations, IPP, Holding, etc), in order to create comprehensive test cases across the application and within each of the modules
● Oversee testing progress and deadlines for each test cycle, identifying risks and escalating as needed
● Independently complete quality control testing
● Continuously assess and improve the effectiveness of the testing process, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance quality and efficiency

● Bachelors degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field
● 5+ years experience in Information systems, Information Technology, or Project Management, with a focus on software testing and quality assurance
● Demonstrated ability to design a testing methodology and create test cases
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
● Clear communication and ability to work with stakeholders across cultures and at all levels
● Fluent English is a requirement, both written and spoken
● Confidence with finance terminology and business processes as demonstrated with prior accounting or controlling responsibilities is a big plus
● Experience with Workday, implementing ERP systems, and international rollouts are a big plus
● Familiarity with JIRA ticketing systems is a plus
